Tool of the Week: Hootsuite

Of the many social media management tools, Hootsuite is one of my favorites because you can schedule posts for all of your social media platforms using just one dashboard.

As you are scheduling a post, you can select the social profiles to which you would like to add the post. While creating your content, you are able to see how many characters you have left for each profile you have selected.

Depending on the plan you choose, you can schedule posts for 3 to 50 social profiles. Hootsuite does offer a plan for free, but you will be limited to 1 user, 3 social profiles, and 30 scheduled messages at a time. Below, you can see what the different plans offer.

Hootsuite acts as a one-stop-shop for social media management:

  • Schedule, view, and edit posts for all social profiles

  • View posts, activity, and messages for your various social profiles

  • View analytics

 

Finally, Hootsuite has excellent FAQs and it is darn easy to learn, so we can get our volunteers up and running quickly.

Because Hootsuite is such a robust, complete package that is easily incorporated into our group’s workflow, it is one of the most practical social media tools used by the American Marketing Association San Francisco chapter.
