  • AMASF, member profile

One of the benefits of joining an organization is meeting and connecting with fellow members. The creative and talented marketing professionals are one of the best parts of the AMA SF so we are excited to spotlight two of them here.  Read on to learn what a couple of our members are accomplishing in the marketing field and what they see for the future of marketing.

Jeff Weinberger, A Marketing Mentor: Driving growth for ambitious companies

Jeff is self-employed as a consultant helping companies drive ambitious growth, guiding clients through their most challenging marketing issues. For him, marketing has always been about building relationships and scaling trust in those outside the company. As a marketer, his emphasis on relationship marketing is how he helps companies succeed.

Jeff believes that customer relationships will be made more human in the future of marketing. He thinks marketing teams will lead companies to build better customer relationships by developing deeper customer trust and keeping the right promises.

As a member of the AMA SF Executive Circle, he has benefitted from exclusive networking opportunities that are only available to executive members. What keeps him coming back is the constant exposure to new ideas and new approaches to marketing challenges courtesy of collaboration and thought leadership among fellow marketing professionals.

Smruthi Sriram, A Marketing Student at San Francisco State University

In addition to being a student, Smruthi works as a digital marketer at an independent insurance agency. She handles their SEO, SEM, Facebook Ads, content marketing on social media and blogs, website optimization, website analytics, and email marketing. She also teaches digital marketing principles to seniors and recent grads through the non-profit CO-OP. and serves as a mentor to 13 students focused on  in-demand marketing concepts and skills.

In the future, she expects  marketing to become more interactive and personalized. With the current trends in video marketing, Virtual Reality, and Augmented Reality, she anticipates  future growth in “storytelling” as the foundation of content marketing. As this technology continues to evolve, she thinks it will become essential for brands to be more creative and innovative with their advertising, meaning they will have to hone their focus in on consumer experience and company culture in the quest to create new and engaging advertising content.

From students to senior level marketers, and everything in between, the AMA SF is comprised of a diverse group of marketing professionals. With such a  wide range of seniority levels, each member brings a unique perspective to the organization. Whether you’re early in your career or leading a large marketing team, AMA SF brings a unique opportunity to network with other like-minded professionals as well as learn best and next practices from leaders in the marketing industry.

So, who is AMA SF? We are a diverse group of individuals who are always hungry for more marketing knowledge and  enjoy connecting with others who are accomplishing great things in the field.
