  • About AMASF, AMASF Members, Professional Development

Message from the President:

As this year closes, 2021 offers a new beginning and hopefully a gradual return to normalcy. Even in this challenging year, it’s been wonderful to see our community stay active and engaged through our virtual channels and events.

Recently, we were excited to learn, our chapter had been awarded the AMA’s 2019-2020 Turn it Up Chapter of the Year Award . The award firmly establishes the AMA SF as the leading chapter in the West. Congratulations to former President, Maria Gianotti for her leadership, guiding the Board and volunteers to this incredible achievement. In announcing the award, the AMA recognized the chapter for our focus on local member benefits, including free high-quality member events.

In 2021, we plan to build on this success with exciting virtual events, blog posts on relevant and timely  topics, and a new member Slack channel to facilitate networking and topical discussion.

Based on your feedback, our upcoming events program will include both networking and exciting thought leadership events. Starting with a virtual mix & mingle in January, the program will also include discussions on Digital Marketing, ABM, Marketing to Gen Z via new social channels, as well as a Women in Marketing Roundtable, one of our most popular events in 2020. Be sure to register for one of our upcoming events for a chance to network & learn.

We need your support. Joining the AMA and keeping your membership current allows us to continue producing quality content and free events for members. Join or renew your membership today, it’s only $149 per year!

Interested in getting more involved? Volunteers fuel the AMA. Whether you are interested in membership, events, content creation or marketing communications, volunteering is a great way to help your local chapter foster a strong local marketing community. It’s also a great way to connect with other marketers, as well as learn and grow professionally.

Thank you for supporting the AMA, we look forward to connecting with you over the next year.

Wishing you and yours a safe and happy holiday season.
