(It’s pronounced fran-JEZ-uh-vik.) Amy has honed her marketing skills in disciplines ranging from creative and brand development to event planning and promotions. Her experience spans fields from retail advertising to environmental technology—but the common thread is her proven ability to build brand and marketing strategies that are grounded in research and a justifiable rationale. Amy holds a degree in Visual Communications from Kent State University and a Certificate of Marketing from UC Berkeley Extension. She is, admittedly, a bit of a joiner. She has held board positions with AMA SF since it was called sfAMA. As an undergrad, she was the Publicity Chair on the All Campus Programming Board at her university and has continued her affiliation with them as a board member of the Kent State University Bay Area Alumni Association. With Maria's 10+ years of marketing experience, she’s been involved in most things marketing, but what gets her really excited is anything and everything related to growth marketing. She thrives on creating innovative lead generation programs through content and digital strategies. Fun Fact: What you probably don’t know about Maria is that she’s trilingual with a tricultural background (Chilean, Norwegian and now American). Grace Mesina is excited to bring her extensive knowledge and experience in finance and accounting to the AMA SF this year. With 27 years of experience in healthcare financial management positions, Grace has developed an invaluable and diverse skill set including leadership, organizational aptitude, accounting expertise, process improvement, and flexibility as well as creativity and innovation. Grace graduated with a Master in Business Administration from the University of Scranton. She is currently working as the Finance Manager for Kaiser Greater San Francisco, managing two acute care hospitals. While new to AMA, she’s looking forward to jumping right in to assist in the growth and development of AMA SF’s vision and values for the 2018-2019 year. > LinkedIn
Zakiya has been a member of the AMA SF since 2015, serving on the board in the area of event planning and logistics. She has also served on the board of the Marketing Research Association (MRA) in the same capacity. She is a graduate of Temple University with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Communications with a focus in Public Relations. She has a strong administrative background supporting C-level Executives for the past 12 years. She is now with Stacy and Witbeck a Civil Engineering firm where she leads the charge in corporate events and office management. In addition to that, in 2016 she launched her own event planning business, EventZ, which specializes in weddings. Her background also includes content writing, design and even finance. > LinkedIn
Kati is a graduate of Western Illinois University. Shortly after moving to the Bay Area, she was bit by the tech bug and became the Executive Assistant to the CEO of Zuckerberg Media. Throughout her years in the Bay she has gain experience supporting high level executives in multiple verticals and industries. Today she is a Senior Executive Assistant at Yelp. Being a highly organized and insightful strategic partner has enabled her to be the president of Phi Epsilon Sigma Kinesiology Honors Society and an advisory board member of the San Francisco Admin Awards. Clark started his career in print media with brands like Forbes and InfoWorld and then into international media at IDG Global Solutions representing brands like CEOCIO China, ComputerWord Brazil and PCWorld Australia, to name a few. They he helped build the online business around Then he managed sponsorships for the Interop event. He then went on to help launch the west coast team of Gartner for Marketing Leaders, an independent advisory service helping CMOs make informed decisions. Currently he works with Oracle Marketing Cloud helping marketers make the most of their technology investments around email, SMS, commerce and customer experience. For over two decades, Gerardo Garcia-Jurado has been part of the so-called “creatives.” He built his own first job by starting his visual communications firm in Mexico City. Seven years later, his American adventure began when he moved to New York City. Gerardo has been a key player in the development of award-winning campaigns for global brands. From advertising to promotions to retail marketing; from Effies to Emmys; and from NYC to DEN to SFO, his professional life has been filled with exciting projects, all of which have left significant learnings that have made him the well-rounded marketing professional he is today. He considers himself a “learner.” Besides his bachelor’s degree in graphic design and his master’s degree in Marketing, he keeps himself up-to-date taking multiple classes, but he believes that life is the best teacher.
Most recently, Gerardo joined the non-profit world where he is expecting to be able to make a difference in his community by using his superpowers for the greater good. His full name is Luis Gerardo García-Jurado Rébora but you can just call him Gerardo (Her-are-doh).
Bruce is President of Cubizm, a Consumer Insights and Business Strategy Consulting Firm that helps clients accelerate their business growth through effective design of their products, services, and customer experience. He is an experienced Marketing, User Insights and Innovation Executive, working with a broad range of B2C and B2B clients to enhance their product-market fit and develop go-to market strategies that build value and market differentiation. His work covers an extensive list of multinational companies and startups across industries and topics, including: Consumer Packaged Goods, Software and new Technology, IoT, Food & Beverage, Health & Wellness, Finance, Consumer Electronics, Social Innovation, and Digital Technology in North America, Europe, Asia, Australia, Central, and South America. Julie Tyler (Gueorguieva) is Vice President of Marketing for the national commercial real estate lending segment of the Corporate and Institutional Banking business within PNC Bank, N.A. She has over 15 years’ experience in financial services with a background in customer experience, digital marketing, brand extension, and cause marketing.
Before joining PNC, Julie was in marketing and operations in the technology industry including Scient and Comms People, and in design and marketing in the fashion industry in New York. In his current role, Thomas leads the integrated media team to drive strategy and media activation for his clients. Thomas brings a decade of experience working with Fortune 500 clientele across the agency, publisher and technology sides of the digital business in roles that include media, sales engineer and product marketing. Thomas has worked with a diverse clientele such as: Capital Group, Logitech, Workday, Puerto Rico Tourism Company, Hotwire, Microsoft, and many others. Jeanavive a.k.a. as the “NetworkGirl” is a super-connector that works at the junction of marketing, social media and the events-planning world. She hosts 50-1,000 people high-profile events for Fortune-500 companies, startups and non-profits. With her knowledge and experience in sales, marketing, and event operations, she can lead programs, teams, and associations with ease. She is highly detail oriented, professionally driven and wonderful at coming up with key strategies that drive marketing initiatives resulting in greater attendance. Christina is a content marketing and project management leader with over a decade of demonstrated experience and expertise. Over the course of her career, Christina's held various integrated marketing and project management roles for companies including Thomson Reuters, Doremus, Nielsen NeuroFocus, Blue Shield of California and currently, she is the Director of Global Marketing at Simplilearn. As a certified Pragmatic Marketer and Project Management Professional, Christina brings together the art and science behind these two disciplines to drive awareness and visibility to brands, while creating a functional environment that fosters creativity, operational effectiveness and high performance within teams. When Christina's not in the office, you’ll find that she’s a craft enthusiast and leisurely learner at heart. Knitting, crocheting and painting are just a few of her favorite hobbies. Scott is an accomplished marketing and communications professional with more than 20 years’ experience with clients, brands, start-ups and agencies—across the worlds of media, technology, publishing and advertising, as well as their intersection.
