Ken McCormick has been an AMA member since 2004. Ken will be going into his 6th year serving on the AMA SF board as Immediate Past President. Ken is active in the transformation of AMA’s customer journey re-design and a strong supporter of elevating the AMA experience to be relevant and engaging. Ken is also the founder of Visual Identity, printed media providing print solutions for startups, boutique agencies, and Multinational Corporation since 1985. Gurcharan Wadhwa has been an sfAMA member since 2011 and serves as the President. Gurcharan joined the sfAMA to understand the local marketing landscape and to network with professionals. The marketing industry moves fast, you need to constantly be ahead of the game, and being part of the sfAMA is helpful. His goal for the chapter is to raise sfAMA’s profile and credentials by building upon the great work that our previous president did, to continue to provide amazing events and to foster a culture of ongoing learning. Gene Filipi has been an AMA SF member since 1999 and is a former Past President. During his tenure as President he led the chapter to win the coveted “Turn it Up Chapter of the Year” as well as a much-deserved Merit Award for its Communications efforts. Gene draws upon two decades of successful sales, marketing and market research experience. He strongly believes in the benefits of a connected and collaborative community of marketers. Gene is the Business Development Director at Focus Vision, a global leader in quantitative and qualitative market research software and was previously the Director of Sales for Kinesis Survey Technologies and has held positions at Lieberman Research Worldwide, as well as the Gallup Organization. > LinkedIn

Shefali Billon has been a long time AMA member and re-joined the board of the San Francisco chapter in 2015 as an Advisory Board Member. Shefali is the current VP of Chapter Relations, managing relationships of strategic partners for the chapter. Shefali strongly supports the mission of the AMA SF to be both a thought leader and a helpful resource in keeping marketing and communications’ professionals connected and current. Shefali is a seasoned marketing, communications and business development professional with over 20 years’ experience in the technology, education, women’s advancement and healthy industries. She is the owner of Lumina Consulting, and has held senior marketing and development roles in both for-profit and non-profit organizations. She has spoken at the following organizations’ conferences: Social Media for Non-profits, The Direct Marketing Association and the International Society for Technology in Education. > LinkedIn

Claire Herczeg is a long time member of the AMA and currently serves sfAMA as VP Membership. Claire previously served in many leadership positions for laAMA serving as President 2007-2009. Moving to the Bay Area, she brings her chapter leadership experience and the ability to coalesce a team of people to accomplish goals. With a background in marketing research her orientation is to make decisions on behalf of the membership that are rooted in data. Her goal is to grow the chapter through acquiring new members and increasing renewals by focusing this year on engagement for new members -- getting them involved as volunteers, and by personalizing and making tangible the value of their memberships. Barbara joined the AMA in 2015 and serves as the Vice President of Alliances & Strategic Partnerships. She brings some 20 years of marketing and communications experience with Fortune 100 and startup companies. She relocated to San Francisco from Seattle and brings a diverse background in technology and consumer products. Barbara has launched partnerships, products, campaigns and marketing programs into culturally diverse international markets throughout Asia, Europe and the Americas. She is skilled at building and leading cross-functional teams to develop strategic plans that deliver impact, thought leadership and experiential marketing to advance companies to the next level. Kevin joined the AMA in 2016 and serves as the Vice President of Communications, defining the messaging and leading the outbound communications for the chapter. He brings nearly 20 years of PR and integrated marketing experience to the role, the last 14 of which have been as Co-Founder and Principal of Resound Marketing. Kevin has generated billions of earned media impressions each year for emerging and established brands, alike. He firmly believes that the marketers in San Francisco and throughout Silicon Valley have had a profound impact on reshaping the capabilities, strategies, tactics, and expectations of the marketing department and hopes to give those contributors a platform to share their thought leadership, best practices, and success stories. Wilson Chu has been an AMA member since 2015 and serves as Vice President of Social Media. He believes that social media can be a forum to tell stories that emotionally connect with audiences everywhere. For the chapter, he envisions social media as content platforms to educate and engage the marketing community. His personal goal for the chapter is to provide engaging, sharable content that will connect and delight marketers in the San Francisco Bay Area. Eric Weidner has been a AMA SF member since 2010. His vision for a successful AMA SF is to bring together technology, knowledge and thought leadership to help others in the marketing community succeed. He wholeheartedly believes his fellow members and the AMA SF’s resources have helped him stay informed and connected to the overall practice of great marketing. Brady Mullin has been an sfAMA member since 2013 and serves as Vice President, Sponsorship. Brady provides a synergistic partnership with corporate sponsors for the sfAMA and focuses on creating a collaborative environment where sfAMA members from all marketing disciplines can build new relationships.
